She’s giving testimony, and he’s taking it, apparently.

Far easier than frantically typing…

He’s putting words in her mouth. This is an extreme case of coaching the witness.

I’m with Morris. It’s the opposite of the first couple of posts…he’s actually holding up the word balloon, meaning that he’s basically giving her testimony to say.

I wish he would give her words that weren’t mumbled. Or maybe she has a speech impediment.

Objection. Leading the witness.

I thought he was taking her words so he could “use them against her” later. From the size of them it seems like those suckers could do some damage.

Gto to go with Morris.

He’s not only putting the words in her mouth, he has come prepared with several possible versions to try on the jury and use whichever one is working. Like ad-men used to do pitch designs on an easel in those misty eons before powerpoint.

Has anyone read “Who Censored Roger Rabbit”? (The similarly-named movie was based on it in concept, though not in plot.) Toons speak in word-balloons, which are occasionally collected or saved like this.
The juror looks bored, I assume the witness has been droning for a long time.

I thought he was taking away all of the things she was saying, as if her testimony were being “stricken from the record.”
