This is kind of a CIDU for me; it’s the “No, Really” that stymies me. Did the burger respond already? If so, why didnt’t the cow take that answer seriously?

My assumption is that the burger responded “Are you $#&*!@ kidding me?”.

My assumption was that the burger blew him off and didn’t respond,so his “No, really … what’s it like?” was a futile attempt to get a response from a dead piece of meat. (Oh, and I love burgers, so that was not perjorative.)

I took it to mean that the burger is being rather rude and unresponsive when asked a serious question. The cow actually wants to know, so he is asking again.
“So … You’re a burger now? … … What’s it like?”
“–”
“No, really … What’s it like?”
But the comedic timing of it works much better with just the last line.

Hmmm Maybe the cow should have contacted a MEDIUM to talk to the burger. One of those RARE individuals who can really GRILL the dearly departed for information and get a “WELL DONE” from the client afterwards

I think the Ewwww factor depends on what you think the cow is asking about. I took it to mean that the cow isn’t asking what it’s like to be a burger, but rather what the burger tastes like. So I’d guess it’s the implied cannibalism that got this one sent in as an Ewwww.
