“Before technology makes you fertile”?? And if he means “before technology makes you infertile,” then wouldn’t FakeFutureTed not be able to impregnate his wife? And is this the same Ted from How I Met Your Mother, because actually that would be funny.

Optimistic Breasts

Not a comic I didn’t understand, granted, but equally in need of explanation: I’m reading Jonathan Kellerman’s new crime novel, and he describes a woman as being in her early twenties, whatever-color hair, and that she has “optimistic breasts.”

Anybody want to take a guess at what this means?

Probably just a silly question, considering the strip… but is Arlo’s posture in the final panel supposed to indicate that he’s become arouse by the fact that Janis told a bad joke? It’s also possible that he’s about to crush her skull with the shovel he’s carrying, but that would probably be more Andy Capp teritory
