Heh. Tarot deck joke, too. It’s not just that he’s so stupid he hung himself the wrong way…”The Fool” of the traditional Tarot deck is depicted as hanging from his ankle.

The one with the soap was a CIDU for me.

Why is Janis whistling/humming/whatever-the-music-note-is-supposed-to-mean while shoveling Centaur-Arlo’s, er, mess?
For that matter, why does Centaur-Arlo look angry?
And why is he hiding behind a bush? Is the bush supposed to be “strategically placed”?
… or is she using it as manure to fertilize her flowers? and he’s angry because she’s only using him for his, um, waste products?

Ahhh… Arlo was a CIDU for me too but I think the “fertilizer” idea does it.
Lindsey: The soap one — the inmate tried to escape with a short soap-on-a-rope. He slipped on the soap and fell 15 stories instead of cleverly shimmying down…

A 15 story prison? Man, they really are running out of space for prisoners.
Arlo was trying to conduct a “rite of spring” with Janis, but she wanted to garden instead.

Centaurlo?

Having fertilized my garden with the output of my daughter’s horse, I’m with Janis. However
You are supposed to let it compost for a bit before applying.

Hmm. I had put and around my last line, but it looks like they got parsed out. I’ll have to look them up in my html book.

That was left angle bracket quibble right angle bracket and left angle bracket /quibble right angle bracket. Sorry for cluttering things up, but otherwise this would have been a comment you don’t understand.

I still don’t get why he’s standing behind the strategically-placed bush.

That man hanging upside down is NOT a fool, he is depicted in the tradition of “The Hanged Man”.
The fool is typically depicted as a jester, clown, or child. The Fool is not crazy, but innocent, ignorant, or naive.

The Hanged Man typically is a person who is making their own problems (he did this to himself) or a person who is making a misdirection or lie (he wants you to think there is a problem)

How does this explain the comic? He is a crybaby looking for attention, but his behavior just confirms what a whiner he really is.
