I think the joke is that the answer is so simple it requires no explanation. Like “why do men like football so much? Well, duh, it’s FOOTBALL!”

Also, a girl is hot. One girl + one girl = two girls. Two times hot!

Drew has it right. One chick is hot, but put two of them in a room together AND they’re making out…well, that’s just heaven. I’m a girl and even I know that!

For some reason the moment I read the title of this submission I thought of Ted Forth >_>

Isaac Asimov among others explained the attraction of girl-girl for guys. If you see two girls making out and you get excited, you don’t have to worry that you’re gay. Some guys are so insecure that seeing another guy naked, and being excited, makes them nervous, even if the guy is making love to a woman at the time.

The formula is wrong. The real appeal is that 1 goes into 2 two times.

It’s visual. One slit, plus another slit equals an erection.

I agree, Drew has the right answer. A former girlfriend once asked me “Why is 2 women at once so many men’s fantasy?” and I told her “Because 3 at once seems greedy.” - basically one step at a time, if threesomes were really common then the fantasy would be foursomes, and so on and so on…

“Two girls are too many, three’s a crowd and four you’re dead” -Herman’s Hermits

When I read this, my first impression was that it played into the typical male assumption that goes hand in hand with the typical male fantasy. That is, if there are two women going at it on their own, they would naturally be grateful to get a man involved. So, the man would see two singles, and fantasize about getting them at once as a duo.

I’m also wondering - is there a significance to the Professor’s name?

The name is a play on “Feynman” — Richard Feynman, who worked on the Manhattan Project. But now that you mentioned it, I’ll point out the obvious: Ferman…Fur-man…(fill in your own euphemism for what the “fur” refers to.)

    Actually, I thought of Fermat.

And Asimov has the beginning of it. The rest is that if you replace the guy with a girl, you don’t have to ignore half the image, regardless of how negatively you react to seeing a man in passion.

Re-reading this following the link from “Saturday Morning Lesbians II”, I realize what bothered me about this the first time: It’s highly unlikely that Prof. Ferman is postulating this; he’s really just hypothesizing.
