Who Needs Sleep?

If the joke here is that she’s so tired she doesn’t realize this is February, then that’s pretty funny. Otherwise, I’m stumped.

Ces admitted in RACS that he meant January.

Opps, the link isn’t obvious.

Well damn, that ruins it for me. Seriously, it’s much funnier the other way.

But what does RACS mean?
And yeah, what’s the punchline? Maybe this is one of those strips that doesn’t have a punchline every day?

RACS is the Usenet group rec.arts.comics.strips.
I didn’t even catch the February SNAFU; the joke is that she starts off saying “there are no happy endings in real life” and then goes off onto a weird tangent about movies because she’s so tired she lost the thread of the conversation. Not hilarious, but it is cute when it happens in real life.

I had assumed that she meant, “…since February started,” or equivalently “…since it became February.”
Oh well.

I had thought that the strip was supposed to be run in March but got pushed up a week for some reason, so it no longer worked =P
