I do have one question. Why is the wildebeest coming out of the guy’s pants ? Check out the way the belt loops go around the animal, and you will see what I mean. I alway keep large prey animals in my pocket or my purse.

well for the first one, virginia tee sounds like virginity. At the end of the comic he thinks he got beat up because he lost the golf ball, and he says something like, he shouldn’t have been beaten up unless he stole it.

These are the LOL comics, they’re the comics that Bill/whoever understands but thought were funny.

…which, to be fair, I should have explained: The site’s pageviews are growing between 10% and 20% every month which means (do the math, Bill) there will always be a steady stream of people who don’t know all the site’s quirks yet.

I don’t get #3, 4, & 6 (Zits, Spider-Man, & Wildebeest).
Can anyone help?
(#1 is hilarious!)

Pinny, I’ll explain the Zits since it was one of my picks: Jeremy told Hector he was flat (musically), so Hector did what some adolescent girls do when they feel they’re too flat: Stuffed his chest with tissues.
Do girls still do this, or is bra-stuffing a relic from an earlier time (as, in fact, I am)?

Pinny: Re: Spiderman
In some species of spiders, the female consumes the male after mating occurs (”Yum! Hubby for dinner!”). So, Spider-Man becomes a late-night snack on his webbing day.
Wildebeest: I think this is just parodying the behavior of people with more typical pets–bringing home a snack for Fido, or a tasty coho salmon for Mittens the Kitten. Except this guy has a lion for a pet, so he brings home animals of the Serengeti.

Thanks CIDU Bill & Frosted Donut.
WRT Zits, I had not noticed the chest bump. The only thing that I could think of him stuffing is lower down but it did not feel right as a Zits joke, so I thought I’d ask.

I suspect a few still do — but bra technology has pretty much done away with this behavior.

@Pinny - I have a Zits collection with that comic, and I had read it about 9 or 10 times before I noticed the chest thing, so I didn’t get the comic at first either.

I didn’t get the Zits joke either, I just assumed that the “ooh” was the entire joke.

Ever tried walking around with a wildebeest in your pocket? (No, I haven’t either.) The belt is there because, otherwise, the wildebeest would rip the pocket out. This guy apparently brings home lion treats often enough that he has had pants especially made.
But I still don’t know what’s on the guy’s head. Not a weird hat, apparently, since there are regular hats right on the hatstand. (Do people still use hatstands? I don’t think I’ve ever seen one in a private home, except in cartoons.)

Re: #11
Looks like his hair.
Also, I have a coat stand like his at home (except better looking).

That would be his hair.

It took me a few reads for the Zits one too. I kept thinking about the tissues and what he could have wiped off his hands to make his voice different. Eventually on one of the reads, I realized that it wasn’t his sleeve on the opposite side of his shirt, but one of those weird shapes that girls tend to have in the comic (somewhat differently shaped than what I’ve seen, I guess).
Also, the Spiderman one I found pretty dang funny.
