When I read that, I realized that the name of the comic makes very little sense. The main character is a freelancer, but that's the only real link between the comic and its name. As for Punch an' Pie, it seems to me to just be a generic name for a comic which may or may not have anything to do with the characters or happenings, but gives the comic a distinct remembrance.
