I found the first one funny. Giveaway nights are promotional events, to entice people to attend, and enjoy the event more. Since these people are trapped for an eternity of torment in hell, it’s ridiculous to pretend/try to be make hell more enjoyable. I think the joke is the same with any giveaway night, but bobbleheads add a special touch of whimsy.
Or perhaps there’s just something instrinsically amusing about the combination of hell and bobbleheads. Or the idea of enjoying hell.

See, that’s what I’m sayin’, too, that second strip shows a plastic dancing hula girl, but it’s NOT a bobblehead.

I like the “Recent Comments” list, for calling my attention to something a poster is responding to that I may not have gotten into my email list, or was before my time here, etc. So on one hand I’d like to thank Jeff Shannon for reanimating this early-2008 entry. OTOH, Jeff, r u sure u’re not-a-bot?
