    This made me LOL, since I always have a box of Kleenex around. It’s either just something about the shape of turtles, or maybe they’re box turtles.

    Maybe it’s BECAUSE “box turtle” is a gag itself, but you can buy tissue boxes shaped as such that fit over the cardboard ones.

    Yes, I believe Rasheed is right! Growing up, we had little knitted cosies over all our bathroom tissue boxes. There was a pig and lion and yes, a turtle! :)
